Antwerp Diamonds

In October 2010 again I  head for Antwerp Belgium to buy diamonds. Why do I travel over 7300 miles for diamonds that I can get in New York City? That's easy- Antwerp is where most of the world's gem quality diamonds come from. Bypassing the dealers in NY, we are the direct importers of exquisite diamonds directly from the finest diamond cutters in the world. This allows us to obtain the best diamonds at a great value to our customers. But of course it's fun as well. Antwerp, besides diamonds, is known for its food and beer! But back to business- I already have a list of diamonds that customers want. For example, Mark wants a one carat ideal cut round diamond to get engaged with. Bill and Andrea want to celebrate their anniversary with a two carat diamond. And Kelly wants some bright, white matched diamonds for earrings. Would you like me to pick out your new diamond right at the world's premier diamond cutting factories? Call me at 781-826-3630 and we will chat. Or, stop into my store. Thanks, and I won't forget the chocolates. Stephen Avitabile

As members of the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO), we will be  travelling each year to Antwerp, Belgium, the Diamond Capital of the World, to purchase diamonds for our store and for our customers.  The trip is a rare chance for us to buy directly from the world's best diamond cutters and dealers.  This means real savings and a truly unique selection for our customers.  Read on to learn more...

Located just 30 minutes north of Brussels in northern Belgium, Antwerp is home to literally thousands of the world's best diamond cutters and polishers.  It is a city whose history is the very history of diamond cutting itself; a city whose stature among diamond cutters and whose prominence in the development of diamond-cutting techniques date back to the 17th century.  It was around that time that diamonds were discovered in South Africa, a discovery that led to an enormous influx of rough diamond material to Europe.  The majority of it traveled through Antwerp, and the city flourished.  It flourishes still today as the world's leading diamond center, where it is estimated that an astonishing 70% of the world's diamonds go to be cut, polished and distributed.

In Antwerp, we are given the opportunity to purchase diamonds in the most direct manner possible.  We buy directly from DeBeers' foremost diamond dealers, a collection of dealers and cutters who are hand-selected by DeBeers based on their proven skill at cutting the rough into fine polished diamonds and their ability to then sell those diamonds in the marketplace.  Buying directly from these dealers means we truly eliminate the "middle man."  Our diamonds are direct from the mine, to the cutter, through us and to you.

Our purchases in Antwerp result in a truly unique diamond buying experience for our customers - the finest selection at the very best prices.  We travel over 10,000 miles to avoid additional markups from importers and distributors, and in turn pass along direct-from-the-cutter savings to you.  But our commitment doesn't stop there.  In addition to buying diamonds for our store, we offer our services as a diamond broker for customers who prefer the "personal" touch of having their stone hand-selected and delivered.  You simply choose the size, cut, color and clarity of the stone you desire and then rely on our expertise in hand-selecting a stone that is guaranteed to please.

Few jewelers can offer the satisfaction of knowing that your diamond was carefully and personally selected from among the world's largest diamond collections.  Few can offer the warmth in knowing that your diamond made the shortest possible trip from the earth to your heart.  We offer you both.

If you are shopping for a diamond and are interested in learning more about our Antwerp diamonds, please contact us.  We want to be your personal jeweler.
